Random Rambling...

So, it seems that I've fallen off the face of the earth when it comes to blogging.  For whatever reason, I can't seem to get my shiz together to get back in a routine.  I think about blogging all the time, but turns out you have to actually sit down and type a post.  Bummer.

Lots of things have been going on lately though.  For instance, I'm still growing a human.  That's alot more work than I ever realized it would be!  Did you know that I could seriously sleep for 12 hours every single night if only I had the time?  I hear the fatigue is supposed to be letting up over the next couple weeks, so fingers crossed!

I'm officially in my second trimester.....which blows my mind!  I just know I'm gonna blink and a person is going to be coming out of my....well, you know.  I've started wearing some maternity clothes.  Yeah, I know, it seems early to me too.  At just 13 weeks, it feels sort of like I'm pretending, but let me tell ya, SO MUCH MORE COMFORTABLE!  Let's be honest, my stomach was nowhere near flat to begin with, and then you factor in copious amounts of hormones {both natural and via medical intervention} and it's only gotten bigger.  I like to think that some of that is baby.  Regardless, a wonderful, sweet friend {Hi Amber!}  loaned me a crap ton of maternity clothes.  Let's just say, once I tried on the maternity jeans, my belly let out a big sigh of relief.  Bring it.  I guess I figure I might as well be comfortable, right?

Speaking of being comfortable, I did not want to get out of bed this morning.  {What's new....story of my life lately}  But, Jon wasn't in bed yet.  Yeah, that's right...6:30 in the morning and the boy was still downstairs!  He had fallen asleep on the couch, but in my morning stupor I got myself all worked up that perhaps he had fallen and hit his head or something.  That's pretty much the only thing that peeled me from the pillow, was to check on him.  He was sound out on the couch, tv still on.  Silly boy.

I'll stop the random rambling there, but I'm not gonna lie, there'll probably be more in the coming days.  That is, if I can remember to actually post something!  C'mon second trimester energy boost!  Let's go!

How long do you sleep a night?  If you are or have ever been preggers, when did you start wearing maternity clothes with your first?  Am I crazy for taking the plunge this early?

  1. I think I started wearing belly bands at 14 weeks and maternity clothes at like 16 or 17 weeks - but it's never too early!! They are soooo comfy :)

I slept my best in my 2nd trimester. This 3rd trimester I WOULD be sleeping better if it weren't for all of my congestion (allergies!). Hope you feel that energy boost soon!! :)
